If You Were Bullied Like Me, Don't Worry, God Will Bring Justice. Part 1
This is a letter that I sent during my time at Northeastern. I was being bullied by my roommate for the majority of my college experience, and Northeastern would not help me. While this was happening, my professors weren't making things any easier, they all contributed to draining the life and joy out of me.
I know it's because I love Jesus, so people, if they are evil, will be mean to me. That won't change my stance for him, though. I don't know if they knew I love the Lord, but the demons in them did; that was enough to mistreat me. This email was expressing distress from all situations I was going through, giving them reasons for me dropping out.
As you read this, I want you to have the mindset of knowing that it is okay to stand up for yourself no matter the position of the people you are standing up to. They are not more important than you. We are all equally loved and important in the eyes of God, and so, should treat each other as such. Stand up for yourself knowing God is on your side. He guided my words and steps; let him guide you on what to do, say, and how to move. And you will be okay. God protected me from how bad it could have gotten. I thank him for that.
Romans 8:31
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Hello! I hope all is well! I just wanted to inform you all that I will be leaving Northeastern University very soon. The stress, bullying, coursework, pressure, neglect, gaslighting, manipulation, belittling, defamation of character, people laughing at me because of rumors, and verbal/emotional and psychological abuse that I’ve endured since being at Northeastern is very depressing and mentally damaging for me and my mother, who has been my support system. I’m sad because I’ll have to leave my scholarships that covered my entire cost of attendance, as well as other expenses, and I was able to not worry about the EBT being gone, which is something that directly affected my family and I, due to the meal plan that I had, which was also covered by Northeastern. But regardless, I don’t think I can attend anymore, and it’s time for me to leave. I can’t allow my mother and I to endure this pain any longer. I know that I am intelligent, but maybe not the type of intelligent Northeastern needs. I’ll never have a true chance to know because of my circumstances and NU. I wish you all a great year and to enjoy the rest of your night. I just wanted to let you all know so that you won’t think I’m just skipping your class or being an undedicated student.
Sincerely,
Amanda
